XXXVIII FMI CAMPIONATI INTERNAZIONALI D’ITALIA EICMA SERIES 2025

La nuova stagione si apre ancora una volta con gli Internazionali d’Italia di Motocross Eicma Series 2025, appuntamento fisso da sempre anche per il team De Carli che a Mantova ha piazzato sul podio della MX1 Lucas Coenen.
The new season opens once again with the Internazionali d’Italia di Motocross Eicma Series 2025, a regular event for the De Carli team that in Manteca has placed Lucas Coenen on the box in MX1.

DDC: “Come sapete, siamo presenti ogni anno agli Internazionali d’Italia di Motocross, ritengo molto importante fare queste due gare pre stagionali, perché sono un bel trampolino di lancio per affrontare il mondiale che inizia dopo poche settimane. In gara provi tutto quello che hai fatto durante l’inverno, il lavoro sulla moto, la preparazione fisica dei piloti e si riesce a fare il punto della situazione, oltretutto ottimo allenamento prima di volare in Argentina. Ai piloti fa bene schierarsi al cancello, gli Internazionali si svolgono sempre su piste bellissime e anche quest’anno ne abbiamo la conferma; Mantova e Montevarchi sono due bei circuiti con caratteristiche molto diverse.”
DDC: “As you know, we are here every year at the Internazionali d’Italia di Motocross, I think it is very important to do these two pre-season races, because they are a good test to face before the world championship starts in a few weeks. In the race you can try everything you have done during the winter, the work on the bike, the physical preparation of the riders and it’s an excellent training before flying to Argentina. It is good for the riders to line up at the gate, the Internazionali always take place on beautiful tracks and this year is also confirmation of this; Mantova and Montevarchi are two beautiful circuits with very different characteristics.”

La grande novità di quest’anno sono i due nuovi piloti che si sono uniti a Simon Langenfelder, i fratelli Coenen.
The big news is the two new riders who have joined Simon Langenfelder, the Coenen brothers.

DDC: “I fratelli Coenen sono sicuramente i piloti emergenti più talentuosi che ci sono in circolazione in questo momento, li seguivo da tanto tempo, sin dalla 85, poi dalla 125 ho detto io stesso a KTM di puntare gli occhi su di loro. Sono nel nostro gruppo da tanto tempo ma in team diversi ed è sempre stato uno dei miei più grandi sogni averli con noi e finalmente è successo. Ora dobbiamo fare un buon lavoro e vedere dove si può arrivare.”
DDC: “The Coenen brothers are definitely the most emerging and talented riders around at the moment, I have been following them for a long time, since the 85, then from the 125 I told KTM to set their sights on them. They have been in our group for a long time but in different teams and it has always been one of my biggest dreams to have them with us and finally it happened. Now we have to do a good job and see where we can get to.”

Oltre a due piloti sono cambiate anche le moto
In addition to two riders, the bikes have also changed

DDC: “I ragazzi ce la stanno mettendo tutta e stanno facendo una buona preparazione; la moto va bene, abbiamo le stesse geometrie della GASGAS con plastiche diverse ma la moto di base è uguale. Abbiamo lavorato allo sviluppo delle sospensioni, facendo un buon lavoro in Sardegna e poi a Roma. Si tratta di piccoli dettagli che alla fine possono fare la differenza.”
DDC: “The guys are giving it their all and are doing a good preparation; the bike is good, we have the same chassis as the GASGAS with different plastics but the basic bike is the same. We worked on developing the suspension, doing a good job in Sardinia and then in Rome. These are small details that can ultimately make the difference.”

Quali sono gli obbiettivi per la stagione che è iniziata a Mantova?
What are the goals for the season that started in Mantova?

DDC: “Con i ragazzi dobbiamo lavorare su quello che hanno fatto lo scorso anno, partire da lì per migliorare. Lucas è super veloce, ha vinto 9 Gran Premi, dimostrando di essere il più veloce in pista, però qualche inconveniente e alcune gare andate male lo hanno condizionato. Adesso si riparte da zero, in 450, lui è giovanissimo, io non ricordo che nessuno mai sia passato così presto nella classe regina ed è super sfida, non voglio sbilanciarmi troppo, perché il lavoro da fare è tanto, però posso dire che ha tanto talento tanta velocità e che lavora duro. Il primo podio dell’anno è un buon risultato dal quale partire.”
DDC: “With the guys we have to work on what they did last year, start from there to improve. Lucas is super fast, he has won 9 Grand Prix, proving to be the fastest on the track, but some inconveniences and some races that went badly have affected him. Now we start from scratch, in 450, he is very young, I don’t remember anyone ever moving up to the premier class so early and it’s a super challenge, I don’t want to go too far, because there’s a lot of work to do, but I can say that he has a lot of talent and speed and that he works hard. The first podium of the year is a good result to start from.”

Per quello che riguarda la MX2 invece?
What’s the goals for MX2?

DDC: “Sacha è stato veloce lo scorso anno, ha vinto due Gran Premi ma gli è mancata la costanza, ha fatto un po’ di errori, quindi dobbiamo lavorare soprattutto su questo e aiutarlo a trovare continuità di risultati. Ancora non sappiamo se sarà l’ultima stagione in MX2 di Simon ma su di lui ci puoi sempre contare, ha tutte le carte per fare bene, ci conosciamo bene e darà tutto per vincere questo mondiale. Lo scorso anno la frattura alla clavicola in Portogallo ha fermato la sua ascesa, però gli ha permesso di dimostrare quanto forte sia. E’ tornato la domenica dopo l’intervento e queste sono cose che rimangono. Ha tutto quello che serve per farcela e assieme a De Wolf è tra i 5 piloti contendenti al titolo.”
DDC: “Sacha was fast last year, he won two Grand Prix but he lacked consistency, he made a few mistakes, so we have to work especially on this and help him find consistency in results. We still don’t know if it will be Simon’s last season in MX2 but you can always count on him, he has all to do well, we know each other well and he will give everything to win this world championship. Last year, his collarbone fracture in Portugal stopped his rise, but it allowed him to show how strong he is. He returned on Sunday after surgery and these are things that remain. He has everything he needs to make it and together with De Wolf he is among the 5 riders contending for the title.”

Il momento non è facile ma non sembra intaccare lo spirito racing del gruppo.
The moment is not easy but it does not seem to affect the racing spirit of the group.

DDC: “La forza del nostro gruppo è negli uomini che portano ogni domenica le moto a correre, siamo sempre pronti e competitivi e siamo all’avanguardia nelle moto. Siamo “Ready to race” come dice il nostro motto e siamo consapevoli della sfida che stiamo fronteggiando. Dalla parte del racing non è stato tralasciato nulla, il successo in pista motiva l’intera azienda e credo fermamente che il nostro impegno nelle corse dimostra quanto KTM voglia fare tutto per tornare in alto ovunque. L’inizio della stagione è per ora ottimo con successi alla Dakar e nel Supercross, noi ci siamo e siamo pronti ad affrontare qualsiasi sfida.”
DDC: “The strength of our group is in the men who take the bikes to race every Sunday, we are always ready and competitive and we are at the forefront of motorcycles. We are “Ready to race” as our motto says and we are aware of the challenge we are facing. On the racing side, nothing has been left out, success on the track motivates the entire company and I firmly believe that our commitment to racing shows how much KTM wants to do everything to return to the top everywhere. The start of the season is excellent so far with successes in the Dakar and in Supercross, we are here and we are ready to face any challenge.”
