FMI CAMPIONATI INTERNAZIONALI D’ITALIA EICMA SERIES 2023
Start Time #2 – Sono 175 i piloti iscritti al primo round degli Internazionali d’Italia MX EICMA Series 2023 che si terrà questo fine settimana a Ponte a Egola (PI). A 12 anni dall’ultima gara degli internazionali ospitata, il tracciato che si snoda sulle colline toscane torna ad aprire i cancelli ai piloti più forti del mondo che domani si sfideranno nelle tre categorie in gara: 125, MX2 e MX1.
In MX1 il campione del mondo in carica Tim Gajser sarà al via con la sua Honda CRF 450 RW in compagnia del compagno di squadra Ruben Fernandez. A cercare di mettere le ruote davanti a loro du ci saranno i tre piloti del team Yamaha Factory MXGP con Jeremy Seewer, Maxime Renaux e Glenn Coldenhoff, mentre con la GasGas ufficiale del team De Carli ci sarà Mattia Guadagnini che insieme ad Alessandro Lupino con la Beta del team MRT, ad Alberto Forato con la KTM del team SM Action e Nicholas Lapucci con la Husqvarna del team SDM, difenderà l’onore dei colori italiani. In gara anche l’inglese Ben Watson con la Beta factory, lo svizzero Kevin Brumann con la Yamaha del team JK e il francese Benoit Paturel con la Yamaha.
Grande attesa per le due manche della MX2 che vedranno un cancello quasi identico a quello del mondiale, con ben cinque case impegnate ufficialmente al via con i loro piloti. Tre quelli della KTM, con Andrea Adamo, Liam Everts e Sasha Coenen, tre anche le Yamaha factory, con Jago Geerts, Thibault Benistant e il campione europeo in carica Rick Elzinga. Lucas Coenen sarà al via con la Husqvarna ufficiale, così come lo saranno Tom Guyon, Cas Valk e Hakon Osterhagen con le Fantic del team Maddii e Simon Langenfelder con la GasGas del team De Carli. Tra i nomi degli azzurri spiccano anche quelli di Andrea Bonacorsi con la Yamaha e Valerio Lata con la KTM del team Beddini.
Grande interesse anche per la 125 con 65 iscritti, tra i quali il favorito Mattia Barbieri con la GasGas, i due piloti Fantic del team Maddii, Elias Escandel Fantic e Maximilian Werner e il giovane Davide Zanone Beta RX125 con la moto in esemplare unico che fa il suo debutto assoluto in gara.

Start Time #2 – There are 175 riders entered for the first round of the Internazionali d’Italia MX EICMA Series 2023 which will be held this weekend in Ponte a Egola (PI). 12 years after the last race of the Internazionali hosted, the track build on the Tuscan hills will host again the strongest riders in the world who will compete tomorrow in the three classes: 125, MX2 and MX1.
In MX1 reigning world champion Tim Gajser will be at the start with his Honda CRF 450 RW alongside with his team mate Ruben Fernandez. Trying to put the wheels in front of them will be the three riders of the Yamaha Factory MXGP team with Jeremy Seewer, Maxime Renaux and Glenn Coldenhoff. Also Mattia Guadagnini with the factory GasGas of the De Carli team will be there and together with Alessandro Lupino with the Beta of the MRT team, Alberto Forato with the KTM of the SM Action team and Nicholas Lapucci with the Husqvarna of the SDM team, will fight to keep high the Italian flag. Ben Watson with the Beta factory, will for sure be one of the top rider at the gate with the Swiss Kevin Brumann with the Yamaha of the JK team and the French Benoit Paturel with the Yamaha.
Great expectations for the two MX2 heats with almost the same gate of the world championship, with five manufacturers officially engaged at the start with their riders. Three from KTM, with Andrea Adamo, Liam Everts and Sasha Coenen, three also from the factory Yamahas, with Jago Geerts, Thibault Benistant and the reigning European champion Rick Elzinga. Lucas Coenen will be at the start with the factory Husqvarna, as will Tom Guyon, Cas Valk and Hakon Osterhagen with the Fantic of the Maddii team and Simon Langenfelder with the GasGas of the De Carli team. Among the Italians, Andrea Bonacorsi with the Yamaha and Valerio Lata with the KTM of the Beddini team will race for a top spot in the final standings.
Great interest also for the 125 with 65 riders ready to fight for a place at the gate, including the favorite Mattia Barbieri with his GasGas, the two Fantic riders of the Maddii team, Elias Escandel Fantic and Maximilian Werner and the young Davide Zanone with the Beta RX125 with that will debut in the race.
